Simplicity is the overarching theme of Virginia Mo’s Sourire collection of plates. This theme is reflected in their flat shape, the use of primary colors and elementary brush strokes. Sourire translates in English to smile and these plates are made for welcoming guests to your table with a smile – a smile that will invite your guests to have a great time.
Guy Savoy asked Virginia Mo to create a collection of presentation plates to be used exclusively at his restaurant in Paris. Each piece is hand painted, making each "smile" unique. However a common theme unites the collection, which is the visual representation of the three senses that are essential for enjoying a fine dining experience: sight, smell and taste.
